How can board permissions improve your projects

Managed access of boards for more privacy

Board permissions in Plaky give you to control to manage who can view, edit, or delete items on a board. This prevents unwanted changes or deletions and allows you to limit access to specific content based on user roles or responsibilities.

Board viewing types

Public board

Public boards are visible to all team members (owner, member, viewer) within your account, therefore any content created in a public board is available to all team members.

Private board

Private boards are visible only to board owners and team members (member, viewer) that were invited to join the board.

Shareable board

Shareable boards are used to share the board with users outside the company or project you’re working on.

Board editing types

Edit everything

This permission level allows team members to edit all aspects of the board, including the board structure, which is to add, edit, and delete columns, change statuses, create and modify board views, and perform all actions available on the board.

Edit content

With edit content permissions team members are not allowed to make changes to the board structure, settings, or permissions, but they can modify the content of the board, which is adding, editing, and deleting items, updating column values, attaching files, and leaving comments.

Write updates only

With this permission users will be able to only view the board, and write updates (as well as edit and delete updates that they’ve written). This setting is useful if you need a customer/client/collaborator to view a shareable board and stay in context on the progress of the project.
