Create and Configure Custom Fields on iOS App
Custom fields give structure and help you better organize Items in Item groups on your Board. Each Field represents some entity relevant to the project, or type of content presented on the Board (e.g. Event planning Board can have these Fields: Person responsible, Team, Reviewer, Date, Cost, Status…).
Please note that these are the default names for Fields in this Board Template. Custom field names can be changed in the web app.
Create Custom Fields #
To add a Field:
- Choose Board
- Tap the + button on right of your Item Group (if you don’t see the button, swipe left across the screen)
- Choose type of Field
- Tap Add
The Field will be added to all the existing Items and all newly-created Items on the Board will contain this Field.
Configure Fields #
After adding a Custom field, you can further edit its values according to your needs, or configure an already existing Field.
Configure Status Field
- Tap on the Status Field
- Tap on Edit in the bottom right corner
- Tap on any label to rename it or change color
- Save changes
- Tap on +New Label to add new label
- Name the label, choose color and tap Save
- Tap Done to complete the action
Configure Tag Field #
- Tap on the Tag Field
- Tap on Edit in the bottom left corner
- Tap on any label to rename it or change color
- Save changes
- Tap on +New Label to add new label
- Name the label, choose color and tap Save
- Tap Done to complete the action
Configure Person Field #
- Tap on the arrow next to the Field name
- Tap Configure Field
- Select the person limit
- Tap anywhere outside of the modal to save the changes
Configure Number Field #
- Tap on the arrow next to the Field name
- Tap Configure Field
- Select the Unit, Unit position and Alignment
- Tap anywhere outside of the modal to save the changes
Configure Date Field #
- Tap on the arrow next to the Field name
- Tap Configure Field
- Select to display/not display current year, day and time
- Tap anywhere outside of the modal to save the changes
